Just finished my Christmas vocation trip. List of the cities visited: Kyiv, Munich, Berlin, Athens, Warsaw, Lviv. In most of cities it’s really hard to find a central Christmas tree, and here’s what i’ve found.
Kyiv had no snow, but a nice Cmas market in the center of the city
In Munich I spent New Year’s Eve and met 2016. It was raining cats & dogs & terrorists all day long. Hell yeah, terrorist attack, which had to take place at Central Train Station, was prevented! I wasn’t sure if the tree on central square of the old town is the main, but couldn’t find any other. There were a few Cmas markets, but just one tree. On the 31st of December I played in two gamez: find Cmas tree and free place in restaurant. It wasn’t easy, but I won in both and proud of myself!
In Berlin there’re many Cmas markets, but the question where’s your Christmas tree no one could answer. On the reception of my hotel i found out that central one is at Berlin Hauptbahnhof – central train station. In general, germans don’t know what is Cmas tree at all.
I believe it looks like the one in Kharkiv, does it? Same rocket format))
In Athens main tree is on Syntagma square, but, again, there’s no tradition to have it.
I had to climb to Acropolis (really great view!!!), but couldnot find any other Cmas tree in Athens
But, there were lots of tangerine, lemon, orange trees, probably they were looking better than most of fur tree I’ve seen.
The quiz find the Cmas tree in Warsaw was the easiest!
BTW, I wasn’t able to find Cmas tree in Lviv, where is it?
